Techno Mondays are a fact here on ViaSound web radio.

Our latest addition is Atlante Group, a label that we have previously mentioned in past articles. They perform both from Belgium and Reunion/Africa.

Their weekly show starting tonight 19 July, is every Monday at 22:00 (+2 GMT) with a different Dj from their group each time, presenting their various (and numerous) releases. Tonight Mike - L is performing an exclusive mix for ViaSound.
You can check their releases out, at their official site: http://www.atlante.be

When the vessel fleet and the boats fly, then we'll say that there has been evolution. In the meantime, to move, let's act every day with intelligence, perseverance, discipline and strength that we has acquired over thousands of years

Friday night: Dj Raketic and guest Velya

Tonight at 22:00 (+2 GMT) "Subcontext" includes one hour mix by Dj Raketic and his guest DJ, Producer and Journalist Velya from Belgrade, Serbia. Velya started making electronic music and djing in the mid 90's. His small collection of vinyl at that time included: Steve Bug, Bassbin Twins, Joey Beltram, Jeff Mills, Tom Barnett, Anthony Shakir, Blake Baxter, Claude Young, Derrick May, Stacey Pullen and others. After a number of sets at Belgrade clubs like: Omen, Akademija, Mondo DC, Garden, Roof, Fest, Exile, NoName, Kolos, and others, he got the chance to play at an event called "Nights of the Various Artists" at the club Industria, which included support of various live act performers. After djing with Happy People he went back to work on his own project called Private Lab. A year later, he started collaborating with UK record label Third Ear, which had a lot of influence on his music orientation. He is also a member of the crew that organized the event called "The Soul of Techno," where he had the opportunity to work alongside Derrick May, one of the artists who has influenced him most. These days, he is keeping busy producing, spinning, and writing about music...

Tonight Harris "I got bass" and guests Djs Pinch, Optiv & Break (UK)

Don't miss tonight Harris "I GOT BASS" @ 20:00 (+2 GMT) on ViaSound web radio Bristol based & Tectonic label boss, PINCH (UK) who will start the show with a wicked dubstep mix. The second hour includes the bass masters OPTIV (UK) & BREAK (UK) who will be sharing the DnB slot with 2 killer mixes. You can also check out our new chat area in the toolbar below.

PINCH (UK)
http://www.myspace.com/tectonicrecordings
The offspring of arch-innovator, Pinch, Tectonic has become one of the most revered imprints working in and around dubstep, housing albums from Cyrus, 2562 and Pinch himself alongside high profile technoid 12”s from Skream and Benga, 140bpm excursions from Flying Lotus and deeper work from Joker and Jack Sparrow. Constantly pushing the sound towards the deeper end of the spectrum, Pinch’s label has never confined itself simply to one style, choosing instead to harness the low end and stark drum patterns so engrained in dubstep, in a plethora of different ways.

OPTIV (UK)
http://www.myspace.com/optiv
That every cause has an effect is common knowledge. For Optiv, Stuart and Mark, the cause is drum & bass, and their effect is both indelible and undeniable. Known collectively as Cause 4 Concern, the crew came together back at the start of 1999, when Optiv was affiliated with Aspect Records, and Stuart and Mark were working for Vinyl Distribution. A testament to their talent, it took only a few short months of collaborative creation before they scored their first signing – and not just to any old label – but the massive and seminal Moving Shadow. At the time they were known as nCode, but soon become Cause 4 Concern and started their own imprint label. Recently reformed after a few years of inactivity, 2009 sees Cause 4 Concern return to wreak havoc with their first full length album. Spread over five separate 12”s to be followed by a double CD, Pandemic picks up right where the lads left off – the leading edge of electronic music. All of the elements that made them one of the most exciting and entertaining production posses in drum ‘n’ bass remain intact, and are both refined and reinforced. Infection is imminent. Prepare for the Pandemic.

BREAK (UK)
Symmetry / DNAudio / Critical / Shogun Audio
Acquiring a love for the breakbeat through jazz and funk records, Break took to the drums at a young age, learning piano along the way and taking to the turntables at the age of fourteen. A talented musician with a wide range of influences, Break looks to push the barriers in whatever he’s doing. Crisp breaks, heavy bass and strong melody are stable marks of his productions making him a firm favourite with a variety of the scenes top DJs.
Break hooked up with the DNAudio crew back in 2001 after meeting Squire through mutual friends. Since then he has played an important role in the label’s expansion, working closely with Silent Witness in developing a fresh & devastating new sound. DJ A-Sides was quick to sign Break’s debut, Cocktail for the ‘East Side Jamz 2’ LP and wasted no time releasing his first solo twelve, ‘Sticky Situation’, the ‘Breakout EP’ and a string of other singles.
His partnership with Silent Witness lead to releases on No U Turn and since then Break hasn’t looked back. As one of the most prolific producers in the scene, long hours in the studio have lead to outings on East Side, Fuze, Commercial Suicide, Quarantine, Critical, Invaderz, Explicit, Subtitles, Metalheadz, Levitated, Shadow Law and DNAudio; all building on Break’s reputation as one of the drum & bass’ hottest new talents. As well as now working closely with Fierce and with singer Kyo in the studio, Break's busy DJ schedule sees him play across the UK and Europe several times a month, with every set being crammed full of killer fresh dubs blended seamlessly with underground classics.
