Herr Semi (aka George Konstantinidis) was born in 1984 and raised in Athens, Greece. Already at the age of 8, he had his first contact with the art of making music when he began learning classical guitar from 1992 to 2000. Yet during these young years, he did not only confine himself to the classical sound, but also got involved with more meta-modern influences, which eventually led him to pursue a permanent career within the contemporary dance scene after the year 2000.

In 2003 Herr Semi left his home in order to study International Trade in northern Greece, marking the point at which his career as a DJ really started to take off. In the lively city of Kastoria he became the resident DJ for Cuba, Lago, DJ’s Club, Mango Bar and Envy. Herr Semi also made many guest appearances at that time, including renowned Athenian hotspots such as Soul, Vitrine, LUV and Subrosa, Kivos, Open Bar while also touring the country to play in clubs like Stoa (Ioannina), De Phase (Preveza) and Comma (Paros). Furthermore, he complemented his successful stint as a DJ, by broadcasting his own radio show “Pink Noise” for 3 years on a local northern Greek radio, which gained him many loyal fans.

Nowadays Herr Semi has moved back to Athens, where he still pursues DJing, while also focusing more on experimenting with the production of his own electronic sounds.
