Life Recorder also known as Kriss Kortz, is a french dj/producer born in the east of France near Swiss and who recently moved in the french south in Marseille. Since almost 10 years he has been rising among new talents on the french underground scene, sharing the decks with international respected artists, between France, Swiss and Italy.

Discovering Electronic music during the early 90’ies with radio shows and the first rave/dance compilations, he found quickly his main influences into the deep, melancholic sounds of Detroit, Chicago or Berlin with music from pioneers of techno and house music, Derrick May,Larry Heard, Robert Hood or Basic Channel's Maurizio.

Since 2005 and his first remix selected among Laurent Garnier's "Controlling the house" remix contest winners, he released a few tracks and remixes on several international labels like Code 316 Rec in France (own label created with Maxx-T), Snapshot Records (uk), Itinerant Records (Au), Soleil Records (Pol) or Fountain Music (Jap) ... Like a seal of quality, his music has been already played and supported by respected artists like Derrick May, Laurent Garnier, Orlando Voorn, Jack De Marseille or Fabrice Lig...

Today, Kriss just continues not being a hype follower and stays true by sharing a lot of soul and emotions in his music and dj sets by mixing together fresh and old school vibes. Music is for him also the way to live a true human adventure with the different connections created through the musical road.
