Vladimir Raketic was born in Belgrade/Serbia in 1983. He was interested in electronic music from early teenage days. The first party that he organized was in his gymnasium, he was 18 years old at the time.

After that, he met a couple of friends who were into the same sounds and they formed a dj  organization; Belgrade Soul Direction, which was focused on techno with strong influence of Detroit sound. He also wrote recensions and made interviews about electronic music.

At one party on the boat Povetarac, he met Subotic and after that they started to cooperate. Soon, the Subcontext concept was born based on label & event organizing.

The first Subcontext party was held on March the 5th 2010 with well known Croatian producer and dj Jolka a.k.a. Luka Baumann. He played with many djs and in lot of clubs in Belgrade and other towns: Skoplje, Kraljevo, Uzice and Novi Sad.

The biggest satisfaction he had in Skoplje in 2008 came when he and Subotic met Derrick May and had a chance to play a couple of tracks with him.

Raketic is also active in production of his own tracks these years, so the first release called Downtown and remix from Nino (Subotika) will be out soon.
