UK-based producer Tom Jenkinson, best known as Squarepusher, will release his next full-length under his new pseudonym, Shobaleader One. Entitled d'Emonstrator, the album will be Jenkinson's first since 2008's Just a Souvenir. It's his second release under the new guise, following Cryptic Motion, his single from last month on Paris's Ed Banger Records, but unlike that 12-inch, d'Emonstrator will see release via Jenkinson's usual haunt, Warp Records. Details on the album are still scarce, it appears Shobaleader One is a very different beast from Squarepusher: follow the link to the teaser trailer.

Booth and Brown pronounce the name Autechre with a Rochdale accent (/ɔːˈtɛkər/ aw-TEK-ər). However, they have explained that the name can be pronounced in any way one sees fit. Booth explains: "The first two letters were intentional, because there was an 'au' sound in the track, and the rest of the letters were bashed randomly on the keyboard. We had this track title for ages, and we had written it on a cassette, with some graphics. It looked good, and we began using it as our name." They are also referred to by the monikers "Ae" and "æ".
